Dear Mr. Firdosy, Demanding respect for ideas that one may find unacceptable in view of the available evidence and reason is would be intellectual oppression, indeed, terror of the worst kind. Respect can never be demanded. It has to be always earned.Tolerance of untenable ideas and practices in the interest of social peace and harmony is all that is possible. Demanding more than that is a sure recipe for perpetual conflict. So, please let us all be reasonable. Suresh mahajan Dear Agarwal Saheb, You have hit the nail on the head. I, and I am sure many others will,
concur that what you suggest is the only path to achieving true peace
and social harmony. I specially applaud the use of term 'respect'
rather than mere tolerance. I strongly urge fellow brethren form all
